La perdita di coscienza del sé porta alla perdita del senso del tempo storico: la contraddizione dell'uomo artefice, che modificando se stesso ed il mondo circostante alla ricerca continua del proprio “benessere”, delega ogni aspetto del suo vivere sociale al prodotto “ready to use” ed alla tecnologia, diventa a sua volta macchina e rinuncia alla propria umanitas.
